Plain Dosa Ready To Be Served

Ingredients:
1. Par boiled rice - 1 cup
2. Raw rice - 1 cup
3. Urad dal (black lentil) - 1/2 cup
4. Fenugreek seeds - 1 teaspoon
5. Oil - for making dosas
6. Salt - to taste
Method.
1. Soak parboiled rice, raw rice, urad dal and fenugreek seeds in water for about 2 hours after washing thoroughly.
2. Drain water and grind to a fine paste in the grinder. Transfer the batter into a container. Add salt. Test the consistency of the batter. If it is too thick, add enough water to bring it to pouring consistency. Allow the batter to ferment for about 8 hours. Now the batter is ready for use.
3. Place a dosa tava on medium flame and smear oil with a tissue paper. Take a ladle full of batter and pour it on tava/pan. Spread it all over the tavs with the help of the ladle. Pour a tsp of oil all over the batter and cover with a lid and cook on low flame. After a few seconds open the lid and flip sides and cook it on the other side. Remove from pan and transfer it into a plate
4. Serve dosa hot with coconut chutney/ plain kurma/ idli podi with sesame oil.
