Homemade Madras Curry Powder







Ingredients:

1. Dry red chillies - 1 kilo gram

2. Coriander seeds - 1 1/2 kilograms

3. Arhar dal (yellow lentil) - 100 grams

4. Cumin seeds - 100 grams

5. Pepper - 100 grams

6. Turmeric sticks - 50 grams

7. Raw rice - 100 grams

8. Rock salt - 100 grams


Method :

1. Sun dry whole red chillies and coriander seeds.

2. Add rest of the ingredients and grind in a mixer to a fine powder and store in an air tight container.


Note :

This curry powder can be used in the preperation of all varieties of south indian curries.
