Lachha Paratha


         
                                                      



























 Preparation time : 10 minutes

Cooking time : 20 minutes

Number of serves : 4


Ingredients : 

1. Wheat flour - 1 cup

2. Oil - for making parathas

3. Salt - to taste (optional)

4. Water - to knead the dough


Method :

1.Take a cup of wheat flour in a vessel, add salt and mix well.

2. Add water to the flour and make a soft dough. Cover the dough with a cling wrap and place it in the refrigerator for about half an hour.

3. Remove the dough from refrigerator and knead it once again.

4. Take a lemon sized dough and place it on the rolling board. Sprinkle wheat flour and flatten the ball with the rolling pin.

5. Apply a tsp of oil on the rolled dough and smear it all over 

6. Sprinkle flour on the rolled dough, and fold in a zigzag shape as shown in the picture (step-5 in the picture).

7. Roll the folded dough and give it a round shape once again (step-6)

8. Roll out the dough once again by sprinkling flour on it.

9. Heat a chapatti pan and when it becomes hot, transfer the rolled out chapatti dough. 

10. Cook on both sides by flipping sides and applying oil till the paratha is brown all over.

11. When fully done, transfer to a plate and serve hot with any kind of vegetable preparation.
