Ingredients :
1. Dalia (broken wheat) - 1 cup
2. Medium sized onions - 2 (sliced)
3. Tomatoes - 2 (chopped)
4. Green chillies - 3 (slit)
5. Chopped carrot - 1
6. Fresh green peas - 1/4 cups
7. Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
8. Broken urad dal - 1 tsp
9. Chana dal (chick peas) - 1 tsp
10. Curry leaves - a few
11. Chopped ginger - 1 tsp
12. Asafodita powder - 1/4 tsp
13.Oil for seasoning - 1 tbsp
14.Salt - to taste
15. Boiled water - 2 1/2 cups
Method :
1. Place a pressure cooker on medium flame and add oil.
2. When oil gets heated up, add seasoning ingredients such as mustard, urad dal, chana dal, green chillies, asafodita and ginger. Saute
3. Next, add sliced onions and sauté till they become transparent.
4. Add chopped tomatoes and the vegetables (carrot and peas),
5. Then add dalia and roast it along with vegetables for about a minute.
6. Add boiled water and salt and pressure cook till Dalia is fully cooked.
7. Garnish with curry leaves and serve hot with coconut chutney.
